GetMyLocal was created for anyone who has tried to look for something around thier town, but have been unsuccessful in doing so. Many either don't know what they are looking for, and still many others know what they are looking for, but don't know where to look. The lack of a centralized domain on the internet to do this has left many people unsatisfied with online community portals and instead they decide to either go watch tv and eat a packaged dinner, or play bingo down at the local flea market.

At GetMyLocal, this makes us very sad! We want to help these "lost souls" and get them on their feet by providing a local community portal that actually works and is run by actual people! People who live in those same communities, not someone from the other side of the globe behind some desk eating cheesy puffs and knocking down a warm soda, or a computer that can't tell the difference between a hammer and a wrecking ball!

GetMyLocal is all about connecting people to whatever their heart desires... and more importantly... whatever their heart desires in their own town!
